IC-RK 134 is a highly advanced zinc-free SAE 40 diesel oil, formulated from solvent-refined base oils, together with additives providing the necessary loadcarrying qualities, engine cleanliness and corrosion protection for extended service in large engines. IC-RK 134 is also suitable with silver-plated components that would suffer corrosive attack from oils containing zinc additives.

IC-RK 134 has been developed specifically for the lubrication of General Motors EMD and General Electric Railroad Diesel engines. It is a LMOA "Generation 5" oil providing high levels of protection and long service life in a wide range of applications, especially where oil consumption is low and fuels are of moderate sulphur level. IC-RK 134 exceeds the detergency requirements of API CF and CF-2, and is compatible with Silver plated components as the oil is Zinc free. Approval letters granting "Tentative Approval" and "Worthy of full scale field test" status have been obtained from both GE and EMD.
