Castrol Cyltech 70 is a marine diesel engine cylinder lubricant developed to provide good performance at the higher temperatures and pressures in modern engines.

Cyltech 70 is suitable for the cylinder lubrication of low speed crosshead engines burning residual fuels. Cyltech 70 can be used with a wide range of fuels with sulphur content typically between 1.0 and 3.5%. Depending on the engine condition, it may be suitable for fuel with 0.1 to 1.0% sulphur for limited periods. Please consult the engine makers for specific advice. Engines sensitive to low sulphur fuels,especially below 1%, should consider using Cyltech 40SX, with a lower BN of 40.
