MARWAY 4040 is a trunk piston diesel engine oil recommended for heavily loaded marine engines operating on heavy oil with a high sulphur content, where an oil complying with TBN 40 and SAE 40 is required.

MARWAY 4040 is recommended for heavily loaded marine trunk piston diesel engines that operate on fuels with a high sulphur content, so-called residual oil, where requirements are an oil complying with TBN 40. The oil is also suitable for use the lubrication of most marine reduction gears associated with the engine type, as well as for general lubrication. We recommend that MARWAY 4040 is continuously filtered between oil change intervals; refer to the manufacturer's instructions. MARWAY 4040 should not be used for operation with low-sulphur fuel, for which a lower TBN is recommended.
